Jazz show’s focus is on Dameron

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown State University Jazz Ensemble 1, directed by Kent Engelhardt, will perform a free show at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Kilcawley Center’s Hub.

The evening will feature the music of Tadd Dameron (1917-1965), a jazz composer and pianist from Cleveland who is best known for the music he wrote for Dizzy Gillespie and Sarah Vaughn.
