Authorities raid meth lab in Coitsville
COITSVILLE — Neighbors’ complaints about the never-ending flow of traffic in and out of a John White Road house spurred an undercover investigation into methamphetamine manufacturing inside the residence, which culminated this morning in the arrest of five people there.
Coitsville Township Police Chief Michael Morris said the investigation began about three months ago, and the raid of the meth lab involved township police, agents from the U.S. Marshal’s Service and Mahoning County Drug Task Force, and deputies from the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation responded to the scene for cleanup.
Three of those arrested had outstanding warrants. Morris added that charges will likely be filed against them Monday.
