Youngstown man charged with drug possession after traffic stop in Campbell


CAMPBELL — A 29-year-old Youngstown man faces a drug-possession charge after city police stopped him for speeding and found suspected marijuana in his car.

Shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday, police stopped Vincent Lebron, of Mahoning Avenue, on 12th Street. According to the report, officers immediately noticed a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside of Lebron’s car.

A search of the car revealed a marijuana cigarette in the ashtray. Police confiscated the cigarette, along with $95 that was in the glovebox.

Lebron is charged with possession of drugs, a first-degree misdemeanor, and cited for speeding. He was released on bond, and is set to appear in Campbell Municipal Court at 9 a.m. Friday.
