Police are asking any investment clients of David Perham to call the police department if theft is suspected.

Perham, 53, of Westfield Drive in Boardman, now has warrants for his arrest on a grand-theft charge and forgery charge. The grand-theft charge is a fourth-degree felony.

His wife, Melanie Perham, 45, also was charged with grand theft, complicity to theft and forgery.

She will have a pretrial hearing at 6 p.m. Feb. 24.

David Perham is accused of taking a $12,831 check from a client and depositing it in his personal checking account, according to police.

The money was given to him to invest for a client, but was placed in a bank account with Melanie Perham’s name on it, according to a police report.

The police are working with David Perham’s attorney for him to turn himself in. A court date for him has yet to be set.

The Perhams have no prior criminal records.

Any client who suspects theft should call Detective Jordan Yacovone directly at 330-270-5109.
