Police served a warrant for arrest to a 43-year-old Boardman man after he was accused of cashing at least 19 stolen checks.

Donald Bagdassarian Jr. of Pine Tree Lane is facing a second-degree felony-burglary charge and a third-degree felony-theft charge.

He is in Mahoning County jail.

The stepson of a 91-year-old man told police in December that his stepfather had at least 19 checks taken from his residence sometime before Sept. 12.

The checks had been forged and cashed at the bank. Altogether, $5,850 was taken.

Police also were told that Bagdassarian did odd jobs around the apartment building that the victim lives in.
