Jenna Kuczek scored 19 points to lead the Spartans. Megan Volosin and Kelly Tomsanyi each scored 10 points while Brianne Fonderlin contributed nine. For the Cardinals, Maggie Monahan and Rene Santisi each scored 10 points.

Rachel Tinkey led the Cardinals (10-5, 6-3 All-American Conference Conference American Division) with 20 points. Erin Risner scored 11.

Danielle Norquest led all scorers with 23 points and the Pirates (12-3, 8-2) used a 16-2 second-quarter spurt to win a Portage Trail Conference game. Madison Geddes led Garfield (9-6, 7-4) with 13 points, Lauren Jones had 12 and Grayson Rose had 10.

NEWTON FALLS
Jaden Walton made five 3-pointers and scored 19 points to lead the Tigers (7-8). Derek Walton and Ozzie Hawkins each scored 15 points while Chris Greathouse had nine. For the Wildcats, Eric Wilson led with 18 points while Jake Zolna and T. Hall each netted 11.
Mooney 69, East 54
YOUNGSTOWN
Marcus Penza scored 16 points and collected nine rebounds and Andrew Armstrong scored scored 13 points with nine rebounds as Mooney jumped out to an early lead and rolled. The Cardinals withstood 22 points from East’s Anthony Reid and 16 points and 10 rebounds from Dalane Brown.
