Hospice of the Valley will host a free prayer breakfast at 8 a.m. Feb. 7 at The Georgetown, 5945 South Ave., for Valley clergy and community leaders to celebrate changes and choices at the end of life.

Liturgy Day

The Office of Worship of the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown will sponsor its annual Liturgy Day from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 1 at at St. William Church, 5411 Mahoning Ave. N.W.

“Let Us Pray – Celebrating 50 Years of Liturgical Renewal” is the theme of the day that will focus on the 50th anniversary of the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy from the Second Vatican Council.

Monsignor Richard Hilgartner, executive director of the Secretariat for Divine Worship at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, will be the keynote speaker.

Three sessions of various workshops will provide further formation for priests, deacons, parish staff, liturgy committees, musicians, lay leaders of prayer, liturgical ministers and anyone who is interested in liturgy.
