A summary of recent criminal activity in Hubbard, Liberty and Girard:

HUBBARD

Jan. 17

Arrest: Police picked up 29-year-old Sarah K. Luteran during a traffic stop in the city. Luteran, of Parkview Avenue, Hubbard, was wanted on a warrant.

Jan. 18

Bad checks: Two payroll checks totaling about $580 were passed at Devine’s Shop ‘n’ Save, 529 N. Main St., then returned from an unverifiable account.

Theft: A woman reported $6,383 worth of jewelry stolen from her Mapleridge Drive residence.

Identity fraud: A Christian Avenue woman checking her account activity discovered $368 worth of unauthorized charges to her debit card.

Jan. 19

Identity fraud: A Waugh Drive woman reported a caller claiming to represent Microsoft Corp. told the accuser her computer was showing excessive warnings of problems and that she could buy one of several service packages by providing her credit-card number.

Jan. 21

Theft: A Ruth Drive man reported approximately $10,400 stolen from an escrow account.

Theft: A West Liberty Street woman discovered a bottle containing 30 medications stolen from her car while in the 800 block of West Liberty.

Jan. 22

Assault: Officers responded to a fight at a basketball game, where an 18-year-old South Main Street man reported someone jumped on his back and tossed him on the ground.

LIBERTY

Jan. 17

Recovered property: A Liberty man found a wallet containing $94 that apparently belonged to a Youngstown woman.

Domestic violence: Tina M. Hudack, 50, of Rose Avenue, Girard, was charged with the crime after her husband alleged that during an argument, Hudack twice struck his abdomen area.

Arrest: U.S. Marshals handed 27-year-old Kevin L. Peebles to Liberty police. Peebles, of Market Street, Youngstown, was wanted on township warrants.

Drugs: Officers on Hadley Avenue pulled over and arrested Tina M. Torres, 29, of East Myrtle Avenue, Youngstown, on charges of possession of marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia, as well as one count of endangering a child. Torres had a suspected crack-cocaine pipe, a bag of suspected crack cocaine and suspected marijuana in a paper cup within easy reach of a minor, a report showed.

Arrest: Shequaela K. Reed of Gypsy Lane, Youngstown, was taken into custody during a traffic stop on Belmont Avenue. Reed, 20, was wanted on charges of failing to appear in court and driving under suspension.

Jan. 18

Drugs: A traffic stop near Gypsy Lane led to a drug-abuse charge against Aaron J. Repko, 25, of Youngstown-Kingsville Road, Liberty, after police alleged he handed them a bag of suspected heroin. In addition, a summons was issued charging 35-year-old Eric S. Copeland of Griffith Drive, Cortland, with possession of drug-abuse instruments. Copeland, who also was wanted on a warrant, had a spoon with burn marks common in drug use and four used syringes, a report said.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A Logangate Road man said a Youngstown woman, 22, borrowed and failed to return his 2003 Chevrolet vehicle.

Domestic violence: A township boy, 16, faced a domestic-violence charge after a 9-year-old relative alleged the teen had turned him upside down and dropped him headfirst onto the floor. The victim complained of dizziness and likely suffered a concussion, police were told.

Criminal damaging: A car in the 1600 block of Motor Inn Drive was found with a damaged windshield.

Jan. 19

Drugs: Authorities responded to an incident in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive, then issued a summons to 23-year-old Aaron J. Baldwin after alleging Baldwin, of Green Acres, Liberty, had a small bag of suspected marijuana under a mattress and a digital scale in the kitchen.

Jan. 20

Arrest: Austintown police relinquished custody of 33-year-old James A. Anderson of Hyde Avenue, Niles. Anderson was wanted on a township warrant charging failure to appear in court.

Jan. 22

Arrest: Police in Weathersfield Township picked up 25-year-old Anastasia R. Hopkins of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Youngstown. She was wanted on a township warrant charging failure to appear in court.

Identity theft: A Logangate Road woman learned her credit-card information was stolen while shopping at a Niles store. She found that $3,500 worth of unauthorized charges had been made in Canada, a report showed.

Arrest: Youngstown police handed to township authorities 33-year-old Angela Hunt-Viglio of Washington Boulevard, Boardman, who was wanted on an outstanding Girard Municipal Court warrant.

Jan. 23

Drugs: Authorities were dispatched to Walmart, 200 Goldie Road, where they arrested Patricia L. Parsons, 40, of Cable Line Road, Diamond, on charges of possession of drug-abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia, as well as Tommy R. Parsons, 33, same address, on two warrants. Found in Patricia Parsons’ purse were needles, twist ties and other drug-related items, police said.

Theft: A substitute teacher at Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way, noticed a $300 cellphone missing from her desk.

GIRARD

Jan. 18

Recovered property: A Taylor Avenue man found a bicycle in a park near U.S. Route 422.

Theft: A Girard woman reported $876 stolen from her purse in a vehicle.

Theft: A West Second Street man reported the theft of OxyContin tablets from his home.

Jan. 20

Criminal mischief: A vehicle near South Elruth Drive was found with a damaged passenger-side door, possibly from a BB. The damage came to $500.

Burglary: To a residence in the 100 block of East Second Street, from which a safe containing roughly $1,000 was taken.

Jan. 22

Arrest: Authorities charged William E. Blakley III of Dearborn Avenue, Girard, with one count of receiving stolen property. The 31-year-old Blakley had a stolen .45-cailber pistol, police said.

Jan. 23

Trespassing: Police charged 26-year-old Denise I. Farabee of Market Street, Youngstown, with criminal trespassing after a West Howard Street woman reported Farabee refused to leave the accuser’s residence. She also refused to do so for police, they said.

Recovered property: A 2003 Ford Explorer vehicle was found after a Beechwood Drive resident had reported it stolen.

Theft: A woman in the 600 block of Hazel Street noticed $100 missing from her wallet.

Arrest: Tammy M. Kornegay, 44, of East Liberty Street, Girard, was taken into custody near Route 422 on a warrant from the Trumbull County 911 center.
