Michael Paquet of Warren replaces Bruce Lev on Soil and Water Conservation District board

Michael Paquet of Warren has replaced Bruce Lev as supervisor for the Trumbull Soil & Water Conservation District board.

Paquet, a longtime Trumbull County resident, formerly worked at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C., and is a professor at several Northeast Ohio educational institutions.

He also served as the manager of the Ohio State University Extension Service’s Master Gardener program and recently helped with the formation of the nonprofit Earth Angel Farm, where people with developmental disabilities learn in agricultural settings.

Lev, of Liberty Township, and his wife, Candace, operate a 150-acre tree farm in Columbiana County. He owns Lev and Titan Construction, which builds homes and condominiums.

SWCD supervisors are elected public officials who volunteer to assist residents and property owners with natural-resource issues.

Each county in Ohio has five SWCD Supervisors serving three-year terms and are elected by the residents and property owners of their county.
