St. Rose will offer soup-tasting event

GIRARD

St. Rose Sunny Days Day Care Center, 61 E. Main St., will offer a Souper Bowl Sunday soup tasting from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the St. Rose School cafeteria.

Guests are welcome to sample and vote for soups created by each of the preschool classrooms with other Girard area recreational cooks, including Mayor Joseph Melfi, Fire Chief Ken Boremiss, Monsignor John Zuraw and Police Chief Jeff Palmer.

Admission is $5 per adult. All children are admitted free.

The winning preschool classroom will win a Dairy Queen party.

All proceeds will be used to purchase supplies for the preschool classrooms.
