Concert and tasting to be Jan. 25

The Canfield High School Choirs, directed by Kelly Scurich, will present their winter music event on Jan. 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium, located at 100 Cardinal Drive.

Music for this year’s event will be based on popular music from various films. 160 voices from the Chambers Ensemble, One Octave Higher Ensemble and Concert Choir will perform music from films such as “Footloose,” “Mary Poppins,” “An Officer and A Gentleman,” “Flintstones” and “Beverly Hills Cop,” among others.

As part of the pre-show, area restaurants and food establishments will be invited to bring a tasting menu of their best item or items. This event, called A Cinemagic Evening with the Canfield Choirs, will feature specialties from a variety of restaurants located in Canfield and the region. Some of the restaurants participating include A La Cart Catering, Smokehouse BBQ, Chick Fil A (Southern Park Mall), Nicolinni’s Restaurant II, Ange Netta’s Caf and Bakery, Giannios Candy Company, Mocha House, Inner Circle Canfield, Giant Eagle, and Phoenix Fire Grill and Bar.

The tasting will begin at 6 p.m. until concert time. Tickets for the tasting event are limited to 200 and are available in advance by calling 330-881-6506. No tasting tickets will be sold at the door. The package ticket price for the tasting is $20 per person.

Concert-only tickets will be $10 for adults and $5 for students and children and will be available at the door.
