Columbiana County dog license purchase deadline is Jan. 31

LISBON — Columbiana County auditor Nancy Milliken is reminding all county dog owners that the deadline for purchasing 2014 dog licenses is Jan. 31.

Dog owners who harbor dogs 3 months or older must license their dogs annually. Licenses are $10 per dog and can be purchased at the these locations: Auditor’s office, 105 S. Market St.; Ace Hardware in Columbiana and Middleton; Damascus General Store in Damascus; Adrian’s Restaurant and Carol’s Corner in East Liverpool; Fuller’s Hardware in East Palestine; Yard Bark in Salem; and Center Pharmacy in Wellsville.

Kennel licenses are $50 and can only be purchased at the county Dog Warden’s office, 8455 County Home Road.

If dog owners fail to meet the Jan. 31 registration deadline, they will be subject to a penalty that is equal to the cost of the license or kennel license. After Jan. 31, the licenses can only be purchased at the auditor’s office.
