ASSOCIATIONS

American Association of University Women, Youngstown Branch, will meet at 10 a.m. Feb. 1 in the gathering room at Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. After a continental breakfast and business meeting, Dr. Diana Fagan, professor of molecular biology and microbiology at Youngstown State University, will present her latest research. American Business Women’s Association, Mill Creek Chapter, will meet Feb. 11 at A La Cart Catering, Lisbon Street, Canfield. “Pretty and Pink Accessories That Update and Add Sparkle to Women’s Attire” will be the featured presentation. Guest speaker Diane Theis of Premier Designs will address the group after dinner at 6 p.m. Guests are welcome. LIBRARY FRIENDS

Hubbard Friends of the Library, 436 W. Liberty St., will open its first meeting of 2014 with a social time at 6 p.m. Monday followed by a 6:30 business meeting. On the agenda will be planning a summer family picnic, the annual book sale and a meet-and-greet with the new director. Dues should be paid in January; new members are welcome. POLITICAL CLUBS

Canfield Republican Women’s Club will have a luncheon at noon Feb. 5 at A La Cart Catering on Lisbon Street in Canfield. The menu will consist of gelatin salad, lemon chicken, redskin potatoes, mixed vegetables and cherries in snow. The cost is $12 per person. D.A.R.E.
