Canfield Rotary donated $10,000 to the Canfield High School baseball program and Canfield Athletic Boosters Jan. 7. The program has been raising money to help promote the building of a $100,000 training facility that will be located in between the softball and baseball fields.

The facility will include two indoor hitting nets, room for two pitching mounds and an area to run sprints or take ground balls.

Canfield High School currently has one hitting net located in the gymnasium and sometimes the McCune Park batting barn has to be used for practice. Building the facility will alleviate the space problems and keep the Canfield High School baseball and softball programs competitive with other districts that already have training facilities.
