Seven games at Covelli slated for Lariccia hoops showcase

Seven basketball games will be played this weekend at the Covelli Centre during the Third annual Lariccia’s “See Them Rise” high school basketball showcase.

Saturday’s games begin with a Special Olympics preview at 3:15 p.m. between the Mahoning County Indians and Mahoning Public Warriors.

Following that game will be the only girls game as Struthers and Hickory play at 5 p.m.

Saturday’s other two games will pit Girard against Warren Harding and Canfield vs. West Middlesex.

On Sunday, Struthers will meet East in the opening game at 4 p.m.

At 5:45 p.m., Mineral Ridge will play Crestview. The finale will have Bristol playing Neshannock.

Tickets at the door will cost $8 and are good for all games that day. Parking is free.
