Mahoning County health board announces new WIC director


AUSTINTOWN — The Mahoning County District Board of Health today announced that Loretta Floyd-Pleas will be the new director of the county's Women, Infants, and Children’s program.

Floyd-Pleas brings more than 20 years of experience with her from her positions as the WIC nutrition educator, breastfeeding coordinator and assistant director.

Floyd-Pleas studied at Youngstown State and Kent State universities. She has a bachelor's degree in applied science and a master’s degree in community health. She is a registered dietitian, a state-licensed dietitian, and a certified lactation counselor.
