LIBERTY

Liberty Township trustees will host a special meeting at 11 a.m. today at the administration building, 1315 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, to discuss the proposed 1.25-mill road levy that will be placed on the May 6 ballot.

West Branch board

BELOIT

West Branch Board of Education will have a special meeting at 3:30 p.m. today in the West Branch High School media center, 14277 Main St.

The purpose of the meeting is to consider a resolution declaring it necessary to place a property-tax levy on the ballot to raise an additional amount of money for school-district purposes annually. Action will be taken.

Breaking, entering

CAMPBELL

City police are investigating a report of breaking and entering at Iron City Wood Products, a pallet management and recycling facility at 3125 Wilson Ave.

Iron City’s office manager contacted police shortly after 7:15 a.m. Monday, explaining that when she arrived at the business at 7 a.m., she noticed the men’s restroom window open.

Upon further inspection of the office, she noticed a candy and soda vending machine heavily damaged, and the contents removed. She did not notice any other items missing from the office.

According to the police report, the incident happened between 5:30 p.m. Friday, when the office manager was last in the building, and 7 a.m. Monday.
