Fire breaks out behind fireplace flames

CAMPBELL

Fire damaged a house Wednesday evening, breaking out at 7:48 p.m. at 468 Park Drive.

No one was injured.

Campbell fire Capt. Greg Rosile said the homeowner had a fire going in the fireplace, and a blaze started behind it.

When firefighters got there, smoke was coming from the roof, he said.

Firefighters were able to access the attic through the garage.

Damage was largely contained to the living room and garage, Rosile said.

The family is staying elsewhere.
