Celebrity chefs sought for pantry fundraiser

The Salem Community Center, Salem Rotary Club and Salem Kiwanis Club are seeking celebrity chefs for the return of the Feed the Salem Community Pantry fundraising event.

Volunteer chefs will be asked to prepare food in small portions for 50 people. Chefs will be asked to provide their own warming device, which is nonelectric, and a server for their table.

A sign with your name, or the name of your business, will be provided and displayed on your table. The deadline to reserve a table is Feb. 14.

Feed the Salem Community Pantry Fat Tuesday celebration will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. March 4 at the center, 1098 N. Ellsworth Ave. All proceeds will go to the pantry.
