A 20-year-old man was shot in the arm early Sunday after a dispute at a Caledonia Street home.

Police responded to a report of a shooting about 2:45 a.m. to find Samuel Lemin being cradled in his brother’s arms. The victim was transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center where he was listed in stable condition, according to a police report.

Witnesses told police there was a party at the home Saturday night, and the victim tried to talk to another man’s girlfriend, leading to an argument.

The other man, his girlfriend and some other men eventually left the party. Later that evening, Lemin was outside the home, and three to five males got out of a car and exchanged words with him, witnesses told police.

As the victim turned away, one of the men said, “I got something for you” and fired three to eight shots, one of which struck Lemin.
