North Bloomfield man in custody after Bristolville stabbing death
Staff report
BRISTOLVILLE
The Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office is holding a 45-year-old North Bloomfield man in the Trumbull County Jail on a murder charge after the stabbing death of Bristolville man Craig C. Neighbor, 41.
Sheriff Thomas Altiere said the suspect will be arraigned sometime after the upcoming three-day weekend, but the court location is not determined.
Deputies arrested the suspect Thursday night after a call to the Bristol Inn, at the corner of state Routes 45 and 88, regarding a stabbing.
Witnesses said the suspect left the tavern about 9 p.m. with a knife, just after Neighbor had been stabbed. He was a suspect in Neighbor’s stabbing, a sheriff’s report said, and he had driven north on Route 45 in a silver Dodge pickup.
Deputies arrested him later Thursday and took him to the jail, where he was listed Friday morning in sheriff’s department records as being held on a murder charge. Later Friday, officials said the suspect was in custody but not charged with murder.
