Alexander Howe, 19, of Robbins Avenue, is being held in the Trumbull County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bond, charged with aggravated burglary in the Dec. 30 home invasion burglary that injured a 65-year-old woman.
Judge Thomas Townley did not require Howe to enter a plea when Howe appeared before him Friday morning. Howe returns to court at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 27 if he’s not indicted by a Trumbull County grand jury by then.
Police arrested Howe Thursday saying he’s the man who broke into the back door of Linda Spano’s North Butler Street home at 5 a.m. and severely beat her, injuring her face and eyes.
Spano escaped out the back door and pounded on neighbors’ doors to get help.
