Fred Astaire dancers entertain

YOUNGSTOWN

A troupe of dancers from Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Boardman will perform in the Grand Ballroom of Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave., on Feb. 9, as part of the Sundays at Stambaugh series. A catered lunch at 12:30 p.m. will precede the performance.

Theater to stage ‘Arsenic’ comedy

NILES

Trumbull New Theatre’s production of “Arsenic and Old Lace” will open tonight and run for three weekends.

The classic 1939 comedy follows some charmingly innocent ladies who populate their cellar with the remains of socially and religiously acceptable roomers.

The TNT production will be directed by Jim Canacci.

Show times are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and Jan. 24, 25 and 31 and Feb. 1; and 3 p.m. Feb. 2. Call 330-652-1103 for reservations.

Ballet series at Tinseltown

BOARDMAN

A performance of “Giselle” by the Royal Ballet will be screened live at movie theaters across the country, including Tinseltown, at 7 p.m. Jan. 27.

Tickets are available at the theater box office and at fathomevents.com.

The performance is the first in a series of three that will be screened at Tinseltown. The others will be “Swan Lake” on Feb. 20 and “The Sleeping Beauty” on March 20.

Each screening will include a behind the scenes look at the Royal Opera House and cast interviews.
