Newcomers Club of Canfield will meet Jan. 30. The speaker will be Michele Morris, a health coach, and her topic will be “Healthy New Year’s Resolutions.” Call 330-702-1673 for reservations, time, location and directions. It provides an opportunity for members to welcome newcomers, engage in recreational and social activities and support civic, social and charitable events. GROUPS

That Quilt Group I Belong To will meet Tuesday at Fair Park in Canfield. Doors will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. for those who wish to work on charity quilts. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. The speaker is Julie Kerner of With Needle in Hand Needlework Shop in Boardman. The project is a small valentine cat. Members who didn’t sign up for the project and would like a kit should call 330-702-0532. The basic kit price is $9. Members will need to take a basic sewing kit (pins, scissors, paper scissors). Needles are included in the kit. Take a task light if you need one. The group is open to all quilters in the Mahoning Valley, including all skill levels. ASG-Howland Happy Stitchers will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Living Lord Lutheran Church, 851 Niles-Cortland Road, Warren. Kiwanis Club of Western Mahoning County meets each Wednesday at 6 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. The speaker will be Kirk Baker, superintendent of Jackson-Milton Schools, who will introduce the new teachers.

Rotary Club of Warren will meet at noon Feb. 5 at Enzo’s Restaurant on Elm Road in Warren. The featured speaker will be Sam Covelli on “Past, Present and Future Covelli Enterprises.” Lunch will cost $8. Reservations are due Jan. 31 by calling Berk Enterprises at 330-369-1192; (ask for Gail).

Ohio Genealogical Society, Mahoning County Chapter, will have its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Charles Church Ministry Building, 7325 Westview Drive, Boardman. F.O.C.U.S. Breast-Cancer Survivors will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Gia’s Restaurant on the corner of Route 224 and West Boulevard in Boardman. All breast cancer survivors are welcome.

Grief Support Group at Good Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market St., North Lima, will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. The group allows members to explore their personal loss and receive support and ideas from others. Grief education is offered by Jane Peachey, a licensed independent social worker and bereavement facilitator. Evening groups will begin at 5:30 p.m. March 4.
