The Canfield High School boys swim team won the Northeast Aquatic Conference Championship for the third year in a row Jan. 4 at Wooster.

Connor Brady was named swimmer of the meet, coming in first in the 100-yard butterfly, the 400-yard free relay and the 100-yard backstroke, the event in which he set the meet record.

Taking second in the 200-yard medley relay were Connor Brady, Mike DiDomenico, Adam Weiss and Daniel Bogen.

Placing in the 200-yard freestyle were Daniel Bogen (second) and Ben Brucoli (third), while Michael DiDomenico (second), Kyle Anderson (third) and Adam Weiss (sixth) placed in the 200-yard individual medley.

Earning a place in the 50-yard freestyle event was Daniel Bogen (third), while Connor Brady (first), Adam Weiss (fourth) and Alec Gaetano (fifth) placed in the 100-yard butterfly.

Claiming top spots in the 100-yard freestyle event were Daniel Bogen (second) and Ben Brucoli (eighth) and the 500-yard freestyle saw places taken by Drew Bennett (first), Kyle Anderson (second) and Matthew Bogen (fourth). The 200-yard free relay team of Adam Weiss, Ben Brucoli, Kyle Anderson and Drew Bennett took third.

Placing in the 100-yard backstroke were Connor Brady (first), Alec Gaetano (fifth) and Jared Rothbauer (eighth), while 100-yard breaststroke swimmers Michael DiDomenico (second) and Matthew Bogen (third) took top spots.

Finally, placing first in the 400-yard free relay were Connor Brady, Drew Bennett, Michael DiDomenico and Daniel Bogen.

The girls team came in fourth place at the meet.

Placing third in the 200-yard medley relay and setting a new school record, including breaking their own record from last year, were Sarah Heaven, Theresa Mikolay, Mallory Allen and Olivia Williamson.

Placing in the 200 yard freestyle event wass Briana O’Malley (fourth), while 200-yard individual medley swimmers Sarah Heaven (second) and Theresa Mikolay (eighth)took top places.

Earning fourth in the 50-yard freestyle was Olivia Williamson. Mallory Allen took third in the 100-yard butterfly and Olivia Williamson took second in the 100-yard freestyle event.

Claiming places in the 500-yard freestyle were Mallory Allen (third) and Briana O’Malley (eighth), while the 200-yard free relay team of Maggie Beistel, Rachel Williams, Theresa Mikolay and Briana O’Malley took fifth.

Placing in the 100-yard backstroke were Sarah Heaven (second, new school record and break her previous record) and Maggie Beistel (sixth).

In the 100-yard breaststroke, Theresa Mikolay took fifth and the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Sarah Heaven, Briana O’Malley, Olivia Williamson and Mallory Allen took second place.
