Kokrak opens Humana Challenge with 5-under 67

LA QUINTA, CALIF. — Warren JFK graduate Jason Kokrak shot a 5-under par 67 Thursday in the first round of the Humana Challenge at the PGA West Nicklaus Course in La Quinta, Calif.

Kokrak is tied for 20th after a round that included five birdies, an eagle and a double bogey. Patrick Reed leads after a first-round 63.

Kokrak tees off Friday at at 9:30 a.m. in a group that also includes Camilo Villegas, Mark Vickery and Michael Parks. They’ll start on No. 1 on the PGA West’s Palmer Course.
