UW hires Sebest

The United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley has hired Roxann Sebest as its new director of marketing and communications, effective Feb. 3.
Sebest, a graduate of Campbell High School and Denison University, has for the past seven years worked as a video journalist at WKBN 27 First News and WYTV 33.
Last year, she received the Mahoning Valley’s Young Professionals 25 under 35 Award; and she serves on the boards of several area nonprofit organizations including The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley and St. Joseph the Provider School.
Joining NAMII
YOUNGSTOWN
The National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute has added two full members and three supporting members.
The Lincoln Laboratory of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a federally funded research and development center, and Zimmer Inc., a musculoskeletal health care company with more than 8,500 employees worldwide, have joined NAMII as full members.
The new supporting members are Lorain County Community College, Texas A&M University and the University of California, Irvine.

United Community Financial Corp., the holding company of The Home Savings and Loan Co., announced the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland terminated its Memorandum of Understanding, which was issued July 9, 2013.
Patrick W. Bevack, the president and CEO of United Community and Home Savings, said both entities are now free of all regulatory orders and agreements, and their capital position is strong.
Gasoline prices rise
YOUNGSTOWN
Gasoline prices in Northeast Ohio rose 5 cents this week to $3.38 per gallon, according to AAA East Central. The national average price for gas was $3.31 per gallon.
AAA said the extreme cold caused refinery issues in some areas, but the subzero temperatures also lowered the demand for gas, causing downward pressure on prices.

Allegiant adds app
VIENNA
Allegiant announced it is offering passengers the option to check in for flights and receive boarding passes directly through their mobile devices at Youngstown- Warren Regional Airport.
Using Allegiant-To-Go, a free mobile app on Apple and Android devices, customers at all 101 Allegiant airports can check in for their flight, receive their boarding pass, add seat assignments, priority boarding or additional baggage using a cellphone or tablet.
