Trumbull prosecutor reviewing Walker death investigation results

The Trumbull County prosecutor’s office is “reviewing the file” and will “make our finding” when finished with the review, Prosecutor Dennis Watkins said of the investigation conducted by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation into the death of TaeMarr Walker.

Watkins estimated that it may take “some weeks” before he is sure that he understands every bit of the investigation and is ready to either release information on the investigation to the public or take the matter before a Trumbull County grand jury.

Walker, 24, of Kenwood Drive Southwest, died during a confrontation with a Warren police officer Oct. 19 on Risher Road Southwest. He died at the scene from gunshot wounds.

The BCI turned over the information it had gathered to the prosecutor’s office last week.
