Restrictions on Route 170 in Columbiana County next week

CALCUTTA

Beginning Tuesday, state Route 170 will be closed during daytime hours north of Calcutta in Columbiana County for tree-trimming work.

“Clearing overhead canopy from our roads improves our pavement longevity and increases motorists’ safety in the winter,” said Lloyd MacAdam, Ohio Department of Transportation District 11 deputy director.

Crews are expected to work on state Route 170 Monday through Friday for the next three weeks between 8:15 a.m. and 3 p.m.

No official detour will be posted.

Motorists should plan ahead to avoid delays.
