Campbell house hit by gunfire

CAMPBELL

A resident of the 10 block of Woodland Avenue reported a shooting to city police early Wednesday morning.

The victim told police that she and her son were asleep, when they were woken up at about 3:40 a.m. by what they believe were gunshots close to their home.

Police noticed three bullet holes in the house — including one caused by a bullet that entered the house through a front window and was found lodged in a kitchen wall.

Officers photographed the holes, and also collected a spent shell casing found in the street and a copper bullet found on the front porch.

The victim told police she doesn’t have any enemies and doesn’t understand why this would happen to her.

The investigation is ongoing.
