Camp Ravenna training center expected to get federal funds for expansion
RAVENNA
A bipartisan Senate-House appropriations deal, if passed as expected this week, would bring $5.2 million for the Camp Ravenna Joint Military Training Center, said U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Avon.
The federal funds would be used to extend Camp Ravenna’s water and sewer lines.
“This infrastructure and utility funding is crucial to the growth of Camp Ravenna, which the Ohio National Guard plans to expand and develop as a major training site,” said Brown, who helped secure the funding.
“This is excellent news for the Camp Ravenna Joint Military Training Center. By developing its utility infrastructure, Camp Ravenna can grow and bring more jobs to Northeast Ohio,” Brown said.
