'Book Thief' will be topic of discussion
SALEM
Salem Public Library’s book selection for the January adult book discussion is “The Book Thief” by Marcus Zusak.
This story introduces readers to Liesel Meminger, a foster child living outside Munich during World War II. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing, when she encounters something she can’t resist — books — in this unforgettable story about the ability of books to feed the soul.
Copies of “The Book Thief” are available for checkout in the Adult Circulation Department of the library.
The discussion group will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Jan. 28 in the library’s Quaker Room, 821 E. State St. The discussion group is open to the public. For information call the library at 330-332-0042.
