MERCER, PA.
Mercer County Conservation District will host a free movie night Jan. 22 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., showing “Silence and Solitude: Yellowstone’s Winter Wilderness.” The film highlights the splendor and bitter cold of Yellowstone in winter with rarely seen footage. The film will be shown in the Pig Barn at Munnell Run Farm, 753 Greenville Road. Drinks and fresh popcorn will be available. All donations received for refreshments will go toward future environmental-education programs. Participants must pre-register by Jan. 21 by calling Jacqueline McCullough at 724-662- 2242.
Help Hotline grant
COLUMBIANA
Help Hotline Crisis Center Inc. received a $500 grant from the FirstEnergy Foundation to promote the 211 information and referral number in Columbiana County. Last year, more than 10,000 county residents used Help Hotline services for information and referral crisis counseling. The 211 number is a nonemergency number to link people to community resources. Help Hotline is funded by the Columbiana County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board and the Columbiana Department of Job and Family Services.
