Staff report
YOUNGSTOWN
Police checking an unspecified problem call arrested a man who they say had four bags of suspected marijuana in his possession and a bottle with 90 pills inside about 3 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of Cassius Avenue on the East Side.
An officer called to the area found Jarrett Linson, 30, running down the drive of a vacant house and tried to detain him in a cruiser for an investigation.
Linson, however, spun out of his coat and ran away and was shot with a stun gun. The officer then retraced Linson’s steps in the snow and found the suspected marijuana and the pills outside a nearby home along with a digital scale. The additional bag of suspected marijuana was found on Linson.
He was taken to the Mahoning County jail and faces charges of possession of dangerous drugs, resisting arrest and obstructing official business.
