Youngstown police investigate stabbing

YOUNGSTOWN

Police are investigating a stabbing that happened about 11:40 p.m. Thursday at a 137 E. Avondale Ave. home on the South Side.

Reports said officers were called for a stabbing and found Aaron Lamont Jones, 19, of Redondo Road, running away from the home with a wound to his back.

Reports said Jones told officers he was at the home visiting a woman when the woman got into an argument with another man and when Jones tried to break it up he was stabbed.

Inside the home officers found a knife covered in blood. There was no word if the anyone else was inside the home when police went inside.
