Boardman woman gets probation for vehicular homicide
YOUNGSTOWN — A 35-year-old Boardman woman has been put on five years’ probation after she pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide.
Billie Mohr drew the sentence today from Judge John M. Durkin of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court in the June 5, 2011, death of her boyfriend, John Marr, 52, of Struthers, at Chelsea Court Apartments, 6300 South Ave., Boardman.
A witness said Marr was trying to stop Mohr from driving his car, when she drove over him and dragged him several feet before ascending a slight embankment and hitting a tree.
Neighbors had to lift the back end of the car to pull Marr from beneath it. Marr later died in St. Elizabeth Health Center.
