Vice raids in city net drugs, cash, one arrest

Police seized almost $2,000 in cash and 12 bags of marijuana after raiding a 535 W. Myrtle Ave. home about 5:10 p.m. Wednesday.

Arrested on the charge of trafficking in drugs was 21-year-old Darius Javey of Youngstown.

Javey was taken to the Mahoning County jail to await arraignment in Municipal Court Friday. The home was raided by members of the Vice Squad who were serving a search warrant.

Vice officers also seized small amounts of drugs and drug paraphernalia serving warrants later at 2760 Hunter St. about 6:15 p.m. and 1939 Donald Ave. about 7:20 p.m.
