GM Lordstown cancels third shift Wednesday
LORDSTOWN — The area’s bitterly cold temperatures has resulted in the General Motors Lordstown Complex canceling the third shift production for Wednesday at both the East and West plants.
The shift was scheduled to start tonight.
All skilled trades employees are still expected to report at their regularly scheduled times, and additional employees will be notified by their leadership if they are needed to support the business, Tom Mock, GM Lordstown communications manager, said in a statement.
Employees on all subsequent shifts, beginning with the first shift on Wednesday, should report at the regular time.
Employees should monitor the Lordstown/Parma Metal Center hotline at 800-934-9244 for updates.
