Campbell police arrest Boardman man on drug charge

CAMPBELL — A 36-year-old Boardman man faces a drug-possession charge after city police stopped him Monday morning for failing to have a front license plate on his SUV.

Police stopped the driver, Turner Seabrook, of Arlene Avenue, on Wilson Avenue near Ninth Street shortly before 11 a.m.

While waiting for Seabrook to produce his driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance, the officer could smell the odor of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle. Seabrook consented to a search of his SUV.

Police found suspected marijuana in the SUV’s center console, and arrested Seabrook on the possession of drugs charge. They also confiscated $58 and cited Seabrook for the traffic violation.

Seabrook posted the $250 bond and was given a court date of 9 a.m. Tuesday in Campbell Municipal Court.
