Mass. Perry 70, Boardman 39

BOARDMAN

Ryan McKeown scored 11 points and Preston Stitt added 10 for the Spartans (2-7, 1-6 Federal League), who fell behind 22-6 after the first quarter. Wyatt Vega scored 19 to lead Perry (2-7, 1-4) while Matt Richards had 17.

Lisbon 55, Heritage Christian 47

CANTON

Josh Craig scored 14 points to lead the Blue Devils (8-1), Also scoring in double figures were Austin Rutecki with 13, Josh Liberati with 11 and Avery Andric with 10. Heritage Christian is 3-5.

Bristol 76, Mineral Ridge 63

BRISTOLVILLE

Behind eight 3-pointers, including five from Zeth Tomasiak, Bristol pulled away in the second half to defeat Mineral Ridge. The game was tied at 35 at the half, but 22 points from Brandon Lee helped the Panthers (9-1) emerge victorious. The Rams got 18 points from Jonathan Baker and 17 from Corey Phillips.

Girls BASKETBALL

Lakeview 82, Conneaut 35

CONNEAUT

Alli Pavlik added to her school-record scoring total with 21 points as Lakeview cruised to an easy win over Conneaut. She also added 11 assists and eight steals. Calli Schmitt, Addison Becker and Jensen Silbuagh had 15, 14 and 13 points ,respectively, for the Bulldogs (11-0). Conneaut was led by Lexi Zappitelli’s 17 points.

Hoover 74, Boardman 28

BOARDMAN

Kelly Tomsanyi made three 3-pointers to lead Boardman, which was outscored 45-12 in the second half. Julie Worley led the Vikings with 17 points.

Bedford 58, Warren Harding 50

BEDFORD

Maya Bell could not be stopped, however the rest of Warren Harding came up short against Bedford. Bell recorded an impressive double-double with 21 points and 24 rebounds, while also adding two blocks and two assists. Chelsea Diapolo added 14 points for the Raiders. Bedford had four girls in double figures.

Lisbon 54, Heritage Christian 45

LISBON

Sarah Boyd led all scorers with 15 points and added 10 rebounds as Lisbon knocked off Heritage Christian. Tiffany Ketchum also had 14 points and 10 steals for the Blue Devils, who out-scored the Eagles 20-4 in the third quarter. Heritage Christian’s leading scorers were Katie Grimes and Ashlee Galliher with 11 points each.

Columbiana 51, Perry 48

PERRY

Molly Donnelly scored 16 points, Baylie Mook had 13, Aleah Whitmore had nine points and 11 rebounds, and Lauren Schlueter had eight rebounds for Columbiana. For Perry, Brittney Levkulich scored 17 points.

Southern 34, East Palestine 29

EAST PALESTINE

Brittany Webber scored 13 points and Southern outscored East Palestine 16-4 in the fourth quarter to rally. Beckah Phillis scored six of her nine points in the fourth. Southern outscored East Palestine 16-3 at the free throw line. Hayley Hall led the Bulldogs with eight points.

West Branch 57, Salem 24

SALEM

West Branch (9-1, 5-1) jumped out to a 21-1 lead after the first quarter and cruised to an easy victory over Salem. Melinda Trimmer scored 16 points and connected on three of the Warriors’ seven 3-pointers. The Quakers (2-8, 1-5) struggled offensively scoring just four first half points. Julia Dundon was their leading scorer with 10 points.

Windham 77, Western Reserve 66

BERLIN CENTER

Windham’s Jessica Isler and Brittany Kinight combined for 47 points to help lift the Bombers over Western Reserve. The Blue Devils (7-3) had the game’s leading scorer, Aleah Hughes, who contributed 27 points and 12 rebounds. Lauren Falasca scored four points, but added seven assists and two steals for Western Reserve.

Heartland Christian 47, Jefferson County 14

WINTERSVILLE

Avery Pennington scored a season-high 20 points and Jenny Burgess added 10 to lead Heartland (3-5), which led 11-0 after the first quarter. Kassie Lucas scored 11 to lead Jefferson County.

ICE HOCKEY

Brush 3, Canfield 1

BOARDMAN

After losing twice to the Arcs by a combined 17-1 score, the Cardinals played much better as sophomore goaltender Patrick Byrne stopped 32 of 35 shots at The Ice Zone. Senior captain Nick Crescimanno scored an unassisted goal for the Cardinals (2-6, 0-4 Greater Cleveland High School Hockey League). Brush is 6-1, 5-1.
