Police arrested two men Thursday who were wanted on felonious-assault warrants.
Arian O’Connor, 36, was arrested at 426 Division St. about 2:45 p.m. Thursday.
Lt. Douglas Bobovnyk of the detective bureau said O’Connor is suspected of cutting a woman with a knife during an argument about 12:45 a.m. Wednesday.
He was arrested without incident by officers who came to the home with a warrant.
Arrested in a Nov. 22 shooting on Turin Avenue on the North Side was Kaylon Adams, 22, who is accused of shooting Robert Mogg about 11:05 p.m. that day in his home.
Adams was found at an Upland Avenue home on the North Side about 2 p.m.
Officers who responded found Mogg lying in a bedroom with a gunshot wound to his back. Witnesses said two men came to the home and loudly knocked on the door. Mogg told the people inside the home to get into a bedroom, and the witnesses then heard several gunshots, reports said. Mogg then walked into the bedroom wounded.
Other witnesses inside told police a woman had a dispute with another woman who was drunk, and tried to stop the drunken woman from walking home, reports said. The drunken woman punched the other woman in the mouth, and Mogg stepped in to stop the punching, reports said.
The drunken woman then fell down, and her husband came to pick her up, reports said. After she left, Mogg got a call from someone threatening him, reports said.
Police looking for Adams told three people inside the home to leave and warned Adams that if he did not come out, a police dog would be sent in after him.
Adams then came outside, reports said.
Both O’Connor and Adams were taken to the Mahoning County jail pending their arraignments Friday in municipal court. Bond for the men has been set at $100,000 each.
