Workshop on marijuana bill rescheduled to Jan. 14

LOWELLVILLE

Due to inclement weather, today’s workshop at Lowellville High School regarding the potential impact of House Joint Resolution 6 has been rescheduled to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 14 in the band room.

The hourlong workshop, led by representatives of Mahoning County Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board and the Coalition for a Drug-Free Mahoning County — will explore the state’s proposed marijuana legislation that could allow people 21 and older to purchase and consume marijuana, focusing on what passage of the bill could mean for the state’s employers, law enforcement, businesses, students and schools.
