WARREN

Qualified homeowners in Kinsman Township and the northern portion of Vernon Township are the focus of Trumbull County’s Community Housing Improvement Program and are encouraged to apply for home rehabilitation and home repairs.

Rehabilitation involves zero-percent loans to correct sub-standard conditions to make homes safe, healthy, durable, energy-efficient and affordable.

Repairs involve grants for one or a few related structural housing items, such as a furnace, roofing, gutters and downspouts, hot-water tanks, electrical service and connection and porches.

Applications will be accepted until Jan. 31. For more information, call 330-675-2480.

Workshop postponed

LOWELLVILLE

Due to inclement weather, today’s workshop at Lowellville High School regarding the potential impact of House Joint Resolution 6 has been rescheduled to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 14 in the band room. The hourlong workshop, led by representatives of Mahoning County Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board and the Coalition for a Drug-Free Mahoning County — will explore the state’s proposed marijuana legislation that could allow people 21 and older to purchase and consume marijuana, focusing on what passage of the bill could mean for the state’s employers, law enforcement, businesses, students and schools.
