Poland Middle School competes in South Range Holiday Classic Tournament

The Poland Middle School wrestling team competed in a tri-match and the South Range Holiday Classic Tournament. Poland lost to Jefferson with a score of 42-38 due to forfeits at five weight classes with victories by pin coming from Braden Olson and Tyler Campbell.
There were two wins by decision coming from Kincaid Mrakovich and Austin Tusinac. Poland also registered match points by forfeits going to Jacob Blackburn, John Miller and Joey Villani.
In the second dual, Poland lost to Girard with a score of 48-13, this time forfeiting two weight classes. The Bulldogs scored match points by decision victories from Jacob Blackburn and Kincaid Mrakovich and a forfeit by John Miller.
The team traveled to South Range for the Holiday Classic, which consisted of fourteen teams. Seven of ten wrestlers won matches and five made it the the medal podium. Winners included Braden Olson, Jacob Blackburn, Kincaid Mrakovich, Clay Schafer, Austin Tusinac, John Miller and Tyler Campbell.
Earning placement in their respective weight classes were Braden Olson (second, 104-pound), Jacob Blackburn (first, 116 pound), Kincaid Mrakovich (second, 128 pound), Austin Tusinac (fourth, 142 pound) and John Miller (second, 160 pound).
