Neighbors | Submitted .The Boardman Boys Basketball team spent the majority of their volunteer time cleaning at the Rescue Mission Dec. 28.

Members of the Boardman Boys Basketball program volunteered at the Rescue Mission Dec 28. The team wanted to take a day and give back to an organization that does many things for people of the valley.

The players were at the rescue mission from 8:30-11 a.m. During that time, a representative from the mission explained their purpose and the different programs that are offered.

The boys spent a majority of their time with rags and buckets, cleaning different areas of the building. Following the cleaning, two members of a year-long program in the mission spoke to the boys about their experience and how the mission is impacting their lives.

The players gained some life lessons and experiences during their time at the rescue mission.
