Mahoning coroner: Aldric Jones died of gunshot wound to the head

YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning County Coroner’s office said a man who died Monday after being shot in a North Side home the night before died of a single gunshot wound to the head.

The death of Aldric Jones, 23, is being investigated as a homicide by police and the coroner’s office, a news release said.

Jones died at St. Elizabeth Health Center, where he was taken after the shooting late Sunday evening. An autopsy on Jones was performed today.
