Thiel choir concert at Zion Lutheran

The 44-voice Thiel College Choir will present a concert at 7 p.m. March 7 at Zion Lutheran Church, 3300 Canfield Road.

The choir is based at the Greenville, Pa., campus of Thiel and is under the direction of Michael Bray, director of choral activities, and accompanied by pianist Kathryn A. Gray.

Each year, the student choir performs a largely a cappella program of sacred music in Lutheran churches throughout the eastern United States.

“Thiel College is one of several jewels in the Lutheran crown in Northeast Ohio and northwest Pennsylvania,” said Duane Jesse, senior pastor at Zion. “They provide a sound education in a beautiful setting close to home.”

The concert will be the choir’s first in the Mahoning Valley.
