OH WOW! recognizes VEC Inc. for recent contributions

Representatives from VEC Inc. were recently recognized for VEC’s sponsorship of the video browser and contribution and installation of the new public address system at OH WOW! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology.

“VEC is honored to sponsor the video browser exhibit at OH WOW! We are so proud to have an amazing resource in downtown Youngstown that gives our youth the opportunity to have fun with science,” VEC President Chris Jaskiewicz said.

“The facility is operated by an inspirational team that understands the significance of STEM education for our young visionaries and their future. VEC believes in OH WOW and supports their continued efforts in our community,” he added.

The video browser exhibit is being revamped to fit into the new Energy WOW! Zone at the Center, which also includes the Solar Bug Dome and Energy Kiosk. VEC also contributed and installed the Center’s new public address system to assure that OH WOW! is able to communicate with its guests.

“We are so appreciative of the commitment VEC has made to our mission and for helping us improve our facility,” said Suzanne Barbati, OH WOW! Executive Director. “VEC is the most recent in a long line of dedicated community partners, and we are grateful for the instrumental role VEC and others are playing in our future.”

Founded in Youngstown, Ohio in 1975, Valley Electrical Consolidated, Inc. (VEC) started as a family-owned business providing electrical contracting services to the region’s many factories, production lines, steel mills and GM’s new Lordstown, Ohio plant.
