Humorist to speak at Packard

Gina Barreca, a feminist scholar, will give a lecture at 10 a.m. March 12 at Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave., as part of the Trumbull Town Hall speaker series.

Barreca has written light books with such entertaining titles as “They Used to Call Me Snow White, But I Drifted,” “Perfect Husbands [and Other Fairy Tales]” and “Sweet Revenge: The Wicked Delights of Getting Even.”

She has appeared on “20/20,” “48 Hours,” “The Today Show” and “Oprah.” An English professor at the University of Connecticut, she encourages women to find the humor in life.
