Girard Band Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the high school cafeteria

CLASSES

Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1948 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s Restaurant on Route 224 in Boardman. All classmates and spouses are invited.

Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1950 will meet at noon Wednesday for lunch at Bedford Trails Golf Course.

Campbell Memorial Class of 1955 will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at What’s Cookin’ in the Mathews Road Plaza in Boardman for its monthly breakfast. Class members, spouses and guests are welcome.

Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1951 will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Landmark Restaurant, 7424 Market St., Boardman. Classmates and guests are welcome.

CLUBS

Beta Chi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma will meet Thursday at Fowler United Methodist Church, 3426 Youngstown-Kingsville Road. Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m.

College Club of Sharon will meet at 1 p.m. March 8 in the Fellowship Hall of First Presbyterian Church, 600 E. State St., Sharon. Gabriel Palmer-Fernandez, Ph.D., a professor in the department of philosophy and religion at Youngstown State University, will speak about “Medical Ethics in Today’s World.” He also is director of the Dr. James Dale Ethics Center at YSU. Trumbull County Travel Club had its Jump into Spring meeting, and Wendt Tours featured a slide presentation of the club’s Maine Fall Foliage Trip and the May Kentucky Derby and Bourbon Trail two-day minivacation. All day trips plus the Niagara on the Lake, Canada, two-day trip were discussed. Brochures with details of all trips were given to club members.

Warren Women’s Connection invites all women to a luncheon with the theme “Life’s Recipe,” from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 10 at DiLucia’s Banquet Room, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. A free nursery is available by reservation. The event will feature Phyliss Echement with Pampered Chef. LIBRARY FRIENDS

Friends of Poland Library will meet Tuesday in the library meeting room. Coffee hour will begin at 9:30 a.m. Hostesses will be Susan Beil, Sally Foster, Bonnie Lambert and Ann Trefethern. The program will be presented by Jack Shipsky, who will talk about the history of the Poland Woods. Books, magazines, CDs and DVDs are collected for the book cart. In April there will be a luncheon catered by Kravitz. Reservations and payment deadline is March 20. The meetings are open to the public, and new members are welcome.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Aglow International Alliance Lighthouse will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Alliance Christian Center, 670 W. Main st., Alliance. The donation is $3. Featured will be Julie Brammer, a missionary who has traveled to Tanzania, Africa; and Goa, India. She has served in youth ministry in Belize and ministers in music teams with percussion instruments. Those who attend the meeting are asked to take snacks and/or finger foods to share. Torrie Anthony will be the April speaker.

Community Christian Women will meet March 10 at First Presbyterian Church in Columbiana. The author of “Journey to Freedom,” Charlotte Marky of Akron, will be the speaker. She will tell of her journey through the destruction of World War II. There will be a luncheon at 12:30 p.m. for a donation of $6.
